Price – 8/10

Prices on Expansys are highly competitive, with discounts on certain items and promotional deals e.g. “Monday Madness“. If you spend less than $1000 Australian dollars, you get a GST free buy. The store does not provide a price match guarantee but gives stock availability notifications. Prices on ordered items may change from time to time and you will be informed before payment is processed, giving you the opportunity to cancel or amend your order.

Expansys receives positive feedback on pricing, however, a few customers feel that the prices are expensive.

Delivery Policies – 7/10

Orders are delivered by DHL or Toll. The online delivery system accurately calculates the delivery costs in real time. Delivery charges attract an additional 10% GST within Australia. Orders may be delivered within 3 -4 days but may vary depending on the availability of stock and previous orders of the item. Urgent deliveries may be arranged by contacting the store. Free shipping is offered on select items.

There are a few bad reviews for delayed delivery but majority of the customers give Expansys a thumbs up for quick delivery. In one online review, an actual customer commented that his order was delivered in extraordinary speed.

Payment Methods – 7/10

You can pay for your goods using:

  • Credit/Debit card – Visa, Master Card, American Express, JCB credit card or Diners Club International
  • Bank transfer/EFT
  • PayPal

Expansys however, receives negative feedback for charging international fees on local credit cards.

Reliability – 6/10

Quick delivery services make Expansys a reliable place to shop online. The store also offers maximum security for your online transactions and takes extra measures to protect its customers against fraud by conducting credit checks or proof of address from time to time. This however, makes some of the online customers uncomfortable resulting in negative feedback.

Returns – 7/10

The store’s products fall under two categories. A stock and B stock. Faulty A-stock goods may be returned within 14 days of the date of dispatch, but should be in new condition, full packaging and with all documentation. If the goods are not in new condition, Expansys reserves the right to refuse to refund or charge an additional 25% restocking fee, depending on the condition of the item. There is a 12 month warranty for A-stock items, however, terms and conditions apply.

Refunds are not provided for B-stock purchases; therefore, faulty products can only be repaired within the limited 3 months warranty period provided for this category.

The store receives mixed reviews on returns. Some customers give positive feedback for fast refunds, but there have been a few complaints of delayed refunds with one customer claiming to have waited for more than one month for his refund.

Customer Service – 6/10

To contact a customer service representative, call +612 8014 4851 between 12:00 hours to 21:00 hours, Mon-Fri EDT. However, the phone service is unavailable between 15:00-16:00 hours EDT. You can also email info@expansys.com.au for further inquiries.

Generally, Expansys receives positive feedback for customer service. However, there are a few bad reviews on poor customer service with some customers claiming that the telephone number listed on the online website sometimes remains answered.

Summary

Competitive prices and quick delivery are some of the services you enjoy while shopping at Expansys. If you chose to receive email alerts, the store will occasionally notify you on price drops and deals of the day as well as new arrivals into the market. However, poor feedback on customer service, faulty products and delayed refunds are areas Expansys needs to work on.
