Price – 8/10

Boohoo receives positive feedback on pricing. In the online reviews, customers have commended the store for its inexpensive prices. Discounts on most items are provided on a regular basis. Students studying in the U.K also get a 10% discount. You can take advantage of clearance sales and make huge savings.

Delivery Policies – 6/10

There is free shipping within Australia for orders worth $40 and over. Standard delivery for orders under $40 costs $4.99 while Express deliveries cost $15. Free shipping and standard delivery orders take up to 8 working days while express delivery orders take 4 working days, but may be longer for very remote areas. The store clearly outlines how long it takes and how much international orders cost.

Boohoo receives mixed reviews on delivery.  Some customers are satisfied with the delivery times while others claim that deliveries take too long. In the online reviews, one actual customer claimed to have paid for express delivery, but received their order after two weeks.

Payment Methods – 7/10

Boohoo accepts Visa, Master Card, American Express, Visa Electron, Laser and Paypal.

Reliability – 5/10

The store uses SSL encryption to protect credit card information and does not store the information obtained from its customers. The use of a GeoTrust program also protects customers when visiting online websites. To improve on reliability, Boohoo needs to address the negative feedback it receives for poor customer service, inferior quality of merchandise, delayed deliveries and poor refunds systems.

Returns – 5/10

Returns within Australia should be done in 30 days from date of dispatch, while international orders should be returned in 14 days. Returned goods should be in their original condition, with labels and tags attached. However, pierced jewellery is not refunded for hygiene reasons. Returns are made at the customer’s cost. Boohoo refunds for returns in 14 days from date of receipt, but requires that you obtain proof of postage from the Post Office when returning your item as you will require it to obtain the refund.

A number of customers have complained about how the store handles returns. One customer claimed to have been shocked with the refund process after waiting for more than 21 days without a refund.

Customer Service – 5/10

There does not appear to be a  customer service number on the website, but answers to majority of the questions customers may have are provided. Those wishing further clarification you should fill in the form on the website and an email will be sent to a the customer service representative with your inquiry. Some customers have given positive feedback for customer service, but majority of the customers claim that customer service is nonexistent.

Summary

Boohoo sells inexpensive products and offers great discounts. You can take advantage of clearance sales to make great savings. However, negative feedback on poor customer service, poor quality items, delayed deliveries and refunds may caution new customers from the website.
